Co-Parenting: Two Parents, Two Homes
A four-hour Virginia court-approved parent education course for parents navigating separation, divorce, custody, and parenting across two households.
Topics include grief and adjustment; child development; the effects of family change on children; communication and conflict management; cooperative and parallel parenting; domestic violence and safety considerations; and practical parenting plans.
Available online and in person. Tuition is $50; credit-card payments include a separate processing fee. A Certificate of Completion is issued after all course requirements are met.
If a no-contact or protective order is in place with your co-parent, note it during registration. Child Safety First will contact you before class to address safety and court-order requirements. No refund is available after the certificate is issued.
Child Behavior Management & Positive Reinforcement
Practical parent education focused on how children grow, communicate, form attachments, and respond to structure and reinforcement.
Topics include temperament, developmental stages, behavior patterns, parenting styles, routines, crisis intervention, and positive-reinforcement strategies that can be adapted to a child’s individual needs.
Available online and in person.
Registration also completes the required intake, so you do not need to submit a separate class form. The information helps Child Safety First plan appropriate placement with safety, privacy, and court compliance in mind.
After registration, you will receive a confirmation email. Online participants will receive the meeting link and course materials by email before class. In-person participants will receive the location and arrival instructions.
